Screen shot for industry experience

My international career started in 1986 when I joined the US Peace Corps to teach Physical Therapy in Thailand.

My professional skills have been applied in a variety of ways over the past 30 years.

Some illustrative examples include:

  • Organizing repatriation for thousands of vulnerable individuals from Thailand to Cambodia;
  • Providing rehabilitation and mobility devices for refugees in Ethiopia;
  • Delivering cognitive and developmental therapy to AIDs’ affected orphans in Romania;
  • Managing a complex rehabilitation program in Angola;
  • Establishing landmine survivor networks in six countries;
  • Implementing over 50 small grants to disabled peoples’ organizations in Uganda; and
  • Providing technical assistance to USAID for physical rehabilitation and wheelchair programs.
  • Evaluating multi-million-dollar rehabilitation and disability programs.
  • Supporting government ministries to assess the rehabilitation situation using WHO tools and guidance.
